Since autumn 2000 I have been teaching the dance class for beginners, where we look at dances from the Quattrocento to the "Biedermeier" (about Victorian).
After Lenchen busch gave up overall leadership, Stefan Haberl, Johannes Feneberg and I have been the leaders of the group. My tasks are the class for the beginners, body work, research of the music and, for performances, liaising with the musicians.
I frequently perform dance music in balls and dance courses. I also participated in the most recent CD production of the Grüneis-Edition.
A musician specializing in Early Music, I have frequently been faced with the question of how the dances were actually danced to the music.
Since 1993 I have been an early dance afficionado and have been a member of the Münchner Kreis für historische Tänze ever since.
Apart from the classes with Lenchen Busch, I have been to courses with Deda Cristina Colonna, Lieven Baert, Markus Lehner, Roswitha Busch-Hofer, among others.
In a full course at the Richard Strauss-Konservatorium I studied the piano with Sylvia Hedwig-Tröscher, the recorder with Julia Hirsch and the harpsichord with Michael Eberth.
Further studies involved courses with Robert Hill, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Bob van Asperen, among others.
Since 1990 I have been teaching the piano and the recorder at the Sing- und Musikschule (Music School) in Bad Tölz.
I also trained as a Feldenkrais teacher with Mark Reese in Berlin. Meanwhile I teach my own Feldenkrais class in Munich.
